“The Creator’s Will Is Peace”: A Journey for Peace Extends Beyond Europe to the Americas

“The Creator’s Will Is Peace”: A Journey for Peace
Extends Beyond Europe to the Americas

HWPL is an NGO dedicated to realizing global peace and bringing an end to war. But what does true peace really mean? Peace is not simply the absence of armed conflict involving guns, swords, and other weapons. True peace may be found in a world where people with different thoughts, beliefs, and convictions understand and respect one another, living together in harmony and passing such a world on to future generations. With this vision in mind, Man Hee Lee, Chairman of HWPL, embarked on a series of peace tours across Europe and the Americas.

▎ A Special Journey from the East to the West

Chairman Lee’s peace tours began in May 2012. During his visits, he met with religious leaders and believers in various parts of Europe and the United States, sharing his understanding of the Bible and urging them to work together to end war and build a peaceful world. His central message was that the world desired by the Creator is not one in which war and suffering continue, but one in which all people can live in peace.

▎ Lectures in Belgium Draw the Attention of Local Believers

The lecture in Europe attracted approximately 300 religious believers in Belgium. The response was so enthusiastic that three consecutive lectures were held in a single day.

During the second tour, Pastor Dorothy Wilson, who had previously attended a conference during Chairman Lee’s first visit to Germany, invited him to her church to deliver a message during a joint worship service.

Pastor Dorothy commented on Chairman Lee’s lecture: “What he teaches is very logical. These words are the truth. He speaks only from the Bible, and I want to learn more.” Approximately 200 people attended the joint worship service. After listening to the lecture, participants expressed their amazement, saying, “It is remarkable. I have never heard anything like this before.”

Kobi Depasse, originally from Ghana, shared his impressions: “He explained the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. I had never heard such an explanation before. I was familiar with the Bible verses, but the way the speaker explained them was different.”

Charles, a university student, also praised the lecture: “When the speaker delivered his message, I felt that he was a man of God and that his words were the Lord’s words. A speaker who understands and teaches the entire Bible has the ability to inspire faith in believers around the world.”

▎ Biblical Teachings Shared in New York

The lecture series continued across the Atlantic, moving from Europe to New York. Approximately 300 religious leaders and believers attended a Bible seminar held in New York, where Chairman Lee delivered a summary lecture covering all the chapters of the Book of Revelation. The audience's interest continued even after the lecture. Pastor Aji Helodzi, originally from Jamaica, asked Chairman Lee, saying, “I will gather more than 1,000 pastors, so please come to Africa and give a lecture.” Pastor Robert Stevenson of New Jerusalem Church in New Jersey also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to hear such a valuable lecture.” Sinique Grenigon, who attended with a friend, remarked, “It was such a precious time, and I learned so much about the Bible.” She subsequently registered for follow-up Bible education.

▎ Growing Interest in California: 1,500 People Gather

The peace tour in the Americas began in New York and continued in California. Approximately 1,500 people attended a gathering held in Orange County, California. Barb, one of the participants, shared her thoughts: “I had spent a long time searching for the truth. After listening to this lecture, I was truly amazed. Local media also took notice of the event, with journalists attending to cover the gathering. One reporter who attended commented that it was “bringing a new wave to the global Christian community.”

The central message conveyed during the second peace tour focused on biblical prophecies and their fulfillment, as well as the belief that “the will of God is peace. Throughout the tour, Chairman Lee consistently encouraged religious leaders and believers to work together to create a world without war and pass it on to future generations. War can break out in an instant, but the suffering it causes can last for generations.  Its impact is felt not only by those who directly experience it but also by the generations that follow. This is why peace is essential not only for the present but also for our children and descendants who will live in the future.

Perhaps our path forward lies in building a world without war, where people of different religions and cultures acknowledge and respect one another’s differences. Creating a peaceful world cannot be accomplished through the efforts of one individual or organization alone. Greater change can be achieved when religious leaders, citizens, and members of local communities come together with a shared commitment and put that commitment into action.
