IWPG signs a Peace Art MOU with Czech artist Irena Procházková.

On October 10, the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) Global Region 7, led by Director Eun-Kyung Kim, held an online MOU signing ceremony with Czech artist Irena Procházková to promote peace through art.

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in the “Love of Peace Art Competition” and “Peace Art Exhibition,” expanding peace, empathy, and cultural exchange through art.

Since 2018, Irena Procházková has actively held solo and group exhibitions across Europe, the United States, and Asia, gaining attention for her work that merges art with social messages.

In September, she attended the 2025 World Women’s Peace Conference held in Cheongju, serving as a final judge for the 7th Love of Peace Art Competition, continuing her collaboration with IWPG.

The Peace Art Exhibition brings together artists of all ages—from children to professionals—to express messages of peace through art. Beyond a space for appreciation, it will integrate women’s peace education and the values of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) through workshops and creative programs.

The Love of Peace Art Competition encourages youth worldwide to rediscover the meaning of peace through creative artistic expression. National preliminaries, judging, and award ceremonies will foster global solidarity among young artists.

Director Eun-Kyung Kim stated, “Art is a powerful medium that connects hearts beyond borders. Through this agreement, we expect to strengthen women’s peace solidarity and promote the culture of peace in the Czech Republic.”

Irena Procházková shared, “It is an honor to share the value of peace through art. I look forward to further collaboration with IWPG.”

The International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) is a UN-registered NGO under ECOSOC and the Department of Global Communications (DGC), headquartered in South Korea. It has 115 branches in 122 countries and collaborates with over 800 organizations in 68 nations.

With the vision of “Achieving Sustainable World Peace,” IWPG promotes women’s peace education, peace culture, and international solidarity, while supporting the legislation of the DPCW to end war and build lasting peace.
