‘HWPL peace activities’ receive extreme attention from the world media…
Actively reporting on peace activities

The world media showed great interest as Chairman Man Hee Lee of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Restoration of Light (HWPL), and peace delegation traveled around the world carrying out the peace movement. Not only world media but also domestic media covered the groundbreaking methods and surprising results for realizing world peace and focused on the actions of chairman Lee and the delegation.

Chairman Lee and the delegation delivered a message of peace through interviews with the media despite having a tight schedule. Each journalist who met Chairman Lee pledged to find their rightful mission and place and participate in HWPL peace activities to end war and achieve world peace.

In Nicaragua, Father Roberto Fernandez heard the broadcast and came to the broadcasting station to meet Chairman Lee. When CDNN23 introduced Chairman Lee's world peace activities for 30 minutes on live broadcast, this kind of reaction appeared immediately. CDNN23 is the leading news channel in Nicaragua that is broadcast nationwide.

Major domestic media also showed great interest in HWPL's peace movement. Major domestic media reported on Chairman Lee and HWPL's peace activities, such as 'Signing of Peace Agreement in Mindanao, Philippines', 'Receiving the Gandhi Non-Violence Peace Prize', and 'Keynote speech at the World Peace Conference on Cessation of War at the United Nations'

[Peace Tour] The heat of media coverage from all corners of the world

Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL clearly reminded and encouraged journalists of their role and spirit for realizing peace through interviews and press conferences.

Religious field united through the ‘Debate of Alliance Religions' Peace Office’ held in the UK, India and Indonesia

Religious field united
through the ‘Debate of Alliance Religions' Peace Office’
held in the UK, India and Indonesia

At Peace Summit held on September 16, 2014, priests of The National Council of Hindu Priests UK presented a certificate of honor to Chairman Man Hee Lee.

In the certificate of honor, council praised Man Hee Lee's peace activities, transcending religion, ideology, race and national borders. President, vice-president and secretary general from council participated in Peace Summit. Afterwards, the council continued its activities together with HWPL. In particular, Secretary General  is actively participating in the 31st Peace Tour of Romania held in 2019.

India is the birthplace of four religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism, and is a country where various religions coexist. Additionally, India's constitution guarantees religious freedom to its citizens. However, due to the religious regulation based on Hinduism, which has ruled India for longer than the Constitution, India is proud to be a society where many religions and cultures coexist despite unreasonable discrimination against minority religions and dissonance between religions.

They are also making efforts to promote themselves as a country of ‘peace’ abroad. For this, they highly appreciated an Alliance Religions' Peace Office which is a religion-based discussion of the HWPL, presented as a way to resolve conflicts among religions and to achieve practical peace. Religious leaders in India participated in Peace Summit every year starting with 'Peace Summit held on Sep. 18, 2014 to declare cessation of war and world peace. In particular, they agreed to actively cooperate in the growth of the HWPL's Alliance Religions' Peace Office to spread peace in India which they saw and confirmed at Peace Summit.

People who participated in 3rd Peace Summit of HWPL in 2017 returned to their home country and introduced religious leaders and religious people in India who are enthusiastic about peace regardless of religion regardless of religion to HWPL. As a result, Alliance Religions' Peace Office in India was able to grow quantitatively and qualitatively.

Alliance Religions' Peace Office in India began on Jan. 4, 2015. As of Nov. 2021, 5 locations are in operation and more than 350 meetings were held online and offline.

Religious community in India joined HWPL on 26th peace tour in 2018. Representatives of 6 major religions in Indonesia( (Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism) willingly signed an agreement for unification in religion.

Muslims and Jews come together for ‘peace’

Muslims and Jews come together for ‘peace’

What is Alliance of Religions' Peace Office of HWPL?

- All religions come out with their own scriptures, debate and check what "true scripture" is and proceed of becoming one. The activities of Alliance of Religions' Peace Office are taking place in El Salvador, Canada, Germany, Israel, and New Zealand.

Alliance of Religions' Peace Office in El Salvador invited chairman Man Hee Lee and the HWPL peace delegation to ask for a message of peace during the 21st word peace tour. El Salvador has an overwhelmingly large Christian population. Representatives from each denomination are gathering in El Salvador to discuss the scripture under the theme of 'unification of the Bible.' Chairman Lee emphasized that we need to know what true religion is based on the Bible.

There are two Alliance of Religions' Peace Offices in Canada, Ottawa and Montreal. Alliance of Religions' Peace Office in Ottawa is opened on September 5, 2015. Participants who attended the online religious peace camp on November 13, 2021, agreed that it was time for religions to step forward for ‘peace’.

Executive of center said “I am very happy to be with HWPL. I hope religious people pay attention to the many global issues that require attention. That is also part of the peace we must pursue.”

HWPL also operates an Alliance of Religions' Peace Office in Israel, where religious conflict is the sharpest in the world. Starting with its first meeting on April 7, 2015, the HWPL's Alliance of Religion' Peace Office in Israel held a total of 113 meetings as of November 2021.

HWPL The reason for establishing an Alliance Religions' Peace Office in Israel was to face the reality of Israel's religious field, which is far from 'peace'. The common goals pursued by all religious scriptures are the realization of peace and justice, conflict resolution, human dignity, and diversity, but these pure and important messages are often overlooked by people.

Accordingly, HWPL met with people from various religions, including Islam, Catholicism, Armenian, Syrian Orthodox Church, Judaism, and minority religions, recommending and opening an Alliance Religions' Peace Office.

In New Zealand, where there are almost no large-scale religious events, the HWPL event held a total of 66 dialogue meetings from May 2, 2015 to November 2021.

Those in attendance at the time evaluated an Alliance Religions' Peace Office very positively. A person who is from Muslim said “I found out that an Alliance Religions' Peace Office was quite productive.”

HWPL peace solution ‘Alliance of Religions' Peace Office’… “The cause of religious people is world peace”

HWPL peace solution ‘Alliance of Religions' Peace Office’… “The cause of religious people is world peace”

Various religions coexist in the global village.

Although different religions must maintain peace by understanding and empathizing with each other, in reality, religion is becoming a 'seed of conflict' because 80% of wars around the world are caused by religion.

The Alliance of Religions's Peace Office, one of the main activities of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), is carrying out a peace movement with the belief that different religions can eventually become one if they understand each other and believe in God.

The Solution to Religious Integration of HWPL through Alliance of Religions' Peace Office is that each religion based on a Confucian classic compares each other's scriptures and become one with the most reliable scriptures.

To achieve this, HWPL promised that religious people in the world and religions would become one at the Peace Summit in September 2014.

In addition, they established Alliance of Religions' Peace Office in 129 countries around the world and are actively conducting discussions to compare scriptures.

HWPL’s 10th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk

May 24, 2023 0 Comments

HWPL’s 10th Annual Commemoration of

the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk

- New Decade, Making Institutional Peace Take Root -

The 10th Anniversary Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and Peace Walk will be held all over the world, including Seoul, South Korea, on May 25, 2023. The event is held under the subtitle of 'New Decade, Making Institutional Peace Take Root', and it was designed to commemorate the significance 'the main spirit of the Declaration of World Peace and Peace Walk which is an international peace movement led by civil society announced in front of the Seoul Peace Gate on May 25, 2013.

At this event, HWPL and partner organizations around the world announce the necessity for institutionalization of peace for sustainable development and announce a joint statement commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Declaration of World Peace, asking global citizens to participate in the LP (Legislate Peace) project. In addition, after the event, a peace walk will be held to call for an end to war in various parts of the world and the enactment of an international law for peace.

HWPL, an international peace NGO, announced the Declaration of World Peace on May 25, 2013, recognizing the seriousness of increasing conflicts across the globe and suggesting that civil society as well as states actively intervene and participate in the establishment and settlement of peace. . The manifesto contains three key proposals. First, the international community enact an international law for peace. Second is to establish a youth peace network around the world. Third, citizens around the world participate in building peace.

To implement this manifesto, HWPL promulgated the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) in 2016 and is carrying out the LP Project, a citizen-led peace movement, around the world to submit it as a resolution to the UN General Assembly. The International Peace Youth Group (IPYG), a youth organization under HWPL, is carrying out various peace projects in partnership with more than 1,000 youth organizations in 119 countries and HWPL is proceeding a business including peace education, interfaith dialogue, peace press, etc with the cooperation of international organizations, governments, and civil society.

HWPL is also promoting 'institutionalization of peace' to realize sustainable peace. One of them is to reaffirm the main principles of international law for peace and to promote the progress of international law in line with the increasingly complex aspects of contemporary conflict. The other is to enable peace to be established as a social structure and culture through institutions such as values, customs, norms, rules and laws. HWPL will continue to promote to achieve the purpose of 'settling the peace system' including introduction of DPCW's resolution to the UN General Assembly over the next decade, implementation of peace education through government and official institutions, regularization of communication channels to promote understanding between religions and resolve conflicts, establishment of a peace consultative body of youth representatives by region and establishment of a network for peace contribution of media.

Meanwhile, in the joint statement of 10th anniversary commemoration of the declaration of world peace, it calls for members of the global community to participate in international cooperation for establishment of a peace system, making clear that the only direction that mankind has to go is peace in the reality of the global community, where disputes between and within countries are increasing.

The peace walk, which has been conducted only online to comply with each country's quarantine guidelines since the pandemic, will again take place offline. On May 25, we will see peace walk shouting 'Legislate Peace (LP)' in major cities around the world.

HWPL, first peace tour of this year to the Philippines... Peace settlement in Mindanao reconfirmed

HWPL, first peace tour of this year to the Philippines... Peace settlement in Mindanao reconfirmed

HWPL visited the Philippines on its 32nd peace tour. Through this visit, peace settlement was reconfirmed in Mindanao Island, Philippines, and official support for the HWPL peace project was obtained. The HWPL peace delegation, which returned from this tour, said, “We witnessed with our own eyes that peace is being achieved recently when self-government was established through through the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Nine years ago, chairman Man Hee Lee's mediation of the conflict in Mindanao at the civil level became a seed of peace and bore fruit, and it led to a resolution to designate 'January 24 Peace Day' to commemorate the day as a national holiday.”

The HWPL Peace delegation was invited to attend the 1st Philippine National Peace Conference. The Peace Conference was held on January 25, 2023 in Pasay City, Manila, Philippines. The conference was held with the cooperation of various national organizations, and more than 1,500 representatives from various fields such as politics, religion, education, and media attended the event. The meeting requested the establishment of a National Peace Day and Truce Day. The reason for requesting the establishment of a National Peace Day is that Mindanao celebrates this day as 'Peace Day' after the conclusion of Civil Peace Agreement in Mindanao by Chairman Lee Man-hee.

Another point to pay attention after the Civil Peace Agreement in Mindanao is the peace monuments erected in several cities. Places where peace monuments have been erected include Asuncion Square in Malate, Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and Cotabato State University on Mindanao Island. Since 2015, a total of 11 peace monuments have been erected in the Philippines. The reason why these peace monuments were built is to empathize with the practical role of HWPL and to settle peace.

Also, sympathy and support for HWPL's peace projects are spreading in the Philippines. For example, resolutions in support of the DPCW were passed in Manila and then in Davao de Oro, Mindanao. Previous cities in the Philippines that have officially endorsed the DPCW Declaration include Cotabato and Davao.

Chairman Man Hee Lee who returned from this tour, responded to reporters’ questions about the results of the tour, saying, “When I first visited Mindanao, where 120,000 people died in the 40-year conflict between Catholics and Muslims, I called each leader and villager and asked, ‘Do your god to worship teach you to kill people?' From that day, I proposed to cease war and engage in a peace movement together, letting them write a memorandum. Things that no one in the government or the military could do were accomplished at the civilian level. HWPL works for peace. Let's make the Republic of Korea the best country of peace in the world. Please help,”

'HWPL Peace Education' blooming in Israel, Palestine, India and Cambodia

March 31, 2023 0 Comments

'HWPL Peace Education' blooming in Israel, Palestine, India and Cambodia

There are two countries that suffer the pain of conflict due to religious and historical conflicts. These are Israel and Palestine. What will it take to resolve the pain of this conflict and dispute? This is peace education. A peace education event was held in Israel to resolve the conflict for students from these two countries. This event was held through the international peace NGO organization, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL, Chairman Man Hee Lee). HWPL is actively carrying out peace education projects in many countries, including Israel, India, and Cambodia, striving for the cessation of war and world peace.

◆ Peace Education Camp

On March 29, 2019, the Israel-Palestinian Peace Education Camp was held. The subjects of the Peace Education Camp were students who will cope with peace. About 150 students and educators attended the camp. During the camp schedule, participants had time to discover their peace-loving heart through sharing the feelings after seeing war and peaceful photos, and proceeded with the 'Peace Letter Campaign' and 'Handprinting'. In particular, the 'Peace Letter Campaign' is being implemented as part of a plan to urge the establishment of international peace, and this peace letter is being delivered to national leaders and UN ambassadors in 193 countries.

Let's take a look at the reactions of the organizers and participants of this peace education camp.

1. As HWPL's peace education goes hand in hand, students are learning more about how to accept each other. Events like this should be held more often in Israel and Palestine, and even in other countries.

2. Under the slogan of 'We Are One', the spirit of peace could be planted in the hearts of the students entrusted to us. I think the camp was really good because not only were the students happy, but I was able to convey the message of peace that peace education wanted to convey to all participants.

3. I was very happy to be one of the students selected to participate in this wonderful event. It was an opportunity to build good relationships with new students and I think peace should be a part of every activity we do.

◆ MOU signing

City Montessori officials who attended the event signed an MOU with HWPL. Through this MOU, HWPL's peace education program will be provided and implemented in schools. City Montessori School said that they fully support HWPL's peace activities. They also expressed support for HWPL's peace projects as well as peace education. After this day, continuous exchanges between City Montessori School and HWPL continued, and a peace walk for world peace and cessation of war was held with about 2,000 students and judges in attendance. HWPL's peace education teaches students to correctly recognize the value of peace and to cultivate that spirit so that they can play a pioneering role in spreading a culture of peace.

◆ Launching the Peace Education Committee, hosted by the Cambodian Ministry of Education

The '2019 Cambodia HWPL Peace Education Committee Launching Ceremony' was held hosted by the Ministry of Education of Cambodia. About 1,000 people attended the launching ceremony, including the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education and Youth Sports, the HWPL Peace Delegation, Cambodian education officials and students. At this event, the HWPL Peace Education Committee was appointed and specific activity plans for peace education were discussed. 19 Cambodian schools and universities signed a 'Peace School MOU' with HWPL and promised to promote peace education throughout Cambodia.

This is the reaction of the people involved in the launch of the Peace Education Committee.

1. I believe that this event to promote education of peace value will enable students to clearly know and realize the value of peace, share the learned knowledge with each other, and participate in the work of achieving national and world peace.

2. HWPL has MOA for peace education and peace school with 189 schools in 20 countries around the world, including Indonesia, the Philippines, and the United States. In particular, this committee was organized under the Ministry of Education expecting to participate in researching and planning a peace curriculum that can instill the spirit of peace in students who are the future leaders.

3. Peace education, one of HWPL's peace projects, is to nurture individuals with the spirit and values of peace. Schools designated as HWPL Peace Schools conduct peace education programs every semester.
